SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 4, 2018—McWong International, a leading lighting and controls solutions provider, has announced it will extend the warranty for its Pacific line of premium IoT-ready outdoor drivers to seven years. The premium series drivers are designed for rugged environment, maximum flexibility and future proof for IoT lighting.
The series encompasses drivers from 50 to 400 watts that are UL Class P rated. Drivers feature built-in 10Kv/5KA surge protection, which is idea for outdoor and industrial applications. Increased surge protection can be paired with McWong’s comprehensive line of surge protectors. All drivers are housed in high quality aluminum enclosures that provide the best heat dissipation in the industry, allowing the drivers to operate at maximum 90 degree C case temperature. A thermal fallback safety circuit provides further protection in high-temperature environments. All drivers in this series are also IP67 rated for open fixture applications.
The premium series drivers are all programmable, either via wire programmer or NFC programmer. This design drastically reduces the SKUs numbers for OEM fixture manufacturers, allowing quick prototyping and great flexibility of new fixture designs. All premium drivers are also UL Class P rated, further reducing the cost of fixture certification.
The premium series drivers include 300 ma 12-volt auxiliary output that can provide power to motion sensors, photocells, and wireless control modules, ideal for smart lighting applications. All drivers also feature 0-10 volt dimming and dim-to-off functions, which eliminate the need for expensive and unreliable relay control. Combined with Zhaga/NEMA connectors, the premium series drivers will enable fixture manufactures to design system ready, future proof luminaires.
