Margaret founded mwConnect as McWong International, Inc. in 1984. She brings over 25 years of lighting experience from manufacturing and procurement to technology development; including light sources, luminaires, LED drivers, sensors, wireless control systems, etc. For many years, Margaret has demonstrated the leadership and vision to both predict and actively drive profound changes enabled by LED semiconducting, IOT and smart lighting solutions. Her cross-border and financial investment experience has brought together many opportunities and deals between the US and Asia in the lighting industry and beyond.

Blane manages business development and sales as well as strategic product development and key partner relationships.  From the early 90’s prior to joining mwConnect as an assistant project manager, Goettle worked and studied in Taipei, Shanghai and Beijing where in 1996 China’s first ‘Green Lighting Symposium’ hosted by Philips and Osram provided his first glimpse into energy efficient lighting.  Goettle holds a Masters in International Business from the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina and a B.S. in symbolic systems from Stanford University.  He is an IES member, a native English speaker, proficient in Chinese and struggling to get beyond basic-level Spanish and French.

Stephen manages product development and business operations as well as strategic partner relationships. Prior to this role, he worked for the company in a number of roles, including project manager, product manager and sales manager. Zhou holds an MBA from the Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University and a B.S. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai. He is an IES member and is fluent in English and Chinese.

Vice President of Business Development

Scott brings extensive industry experience in networked lighting controls, building integration, and IoT to his role at mwConnect. With more than 20 years of lighting industry sales leadership experience at Lutron, Crestron, and Johnson Controls, Scott is skilled at driving organizational growth towards maximum top-line revenue, margin, and market traction. He holds a BA from the University of Illinois.

Seasoned in cleantech and energy efficiency, Rita has held senior marketing and outreach positions in the lighting controls industry, including WattStopper and Echelon. As a consultant, she has served clients in pre-IPO lighting controls companies, electrical/data construction, professional services firms, and policy making organizations. Rita has a B.A. summa cum laude from Mount Mary College and a J.D. cum laude from Santa Clara University School of Law.

Fang has been with mwConnect for eight years in his sales role. He brings a diversified background and substantial experience in sales, marketing and operations both in North America and Asia. Prior to mwConnect, Fang was Manager of Asian Operations for Group Dekko. He holds a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from Hefei University of Technology and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Part of the mwConnect sales team for more than five years, Tony is responsible for business growth in the eastern US. He has substantial experience working with ESCO and OEM sales partners. Prior to joining mwConnect, Tony was a sales leader at On Time Lighting and Group Dekko.

Emily joined mwConnect in 2009. She is responsible for all finance and accounting operations. She also plays an important role in the company’s operations system and business administration. Emily has a Bachelor’s degree in Public Finance from the Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and an MBA from Sacramento State University. She is a certified management accountant (CMA).

Sharon has brought her strong background in merchandising and supply chain management to mwConnect. Since joining mwConnect in 2008, Sharon has played a crucial role in optimizing the company’s supply chain operations. Her expertise in forecasting, inventory management, and logistics has been instrumental in ensuring efficient processes and timely delivery of products.
