As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread, we have a heightened awareness of our responsibility to our employees, our community and our customers. We have three priorities guiding our decisions during this time of uncertainty:
* keep our employees safe
* do our part in preventing the spread of the virus
* ensure service to our customers
Effective March 17 – May 22, 2020, McWong will adhere to Sacramento County “shelter in place” guidelines. The bulk of our employees will be working remotely from their homes. Over the past few years, we have invested in developing and implementing cloud-based sales, marketing and service tools to allow our team to work remotely. Our IT staff has been testing our systems and all are operational at 100%.
We also recognize we have a larger role to play in protecting our community and are doing our part to minimize any contribution to the spread of the virus. We have postponed meetings planned for March and are rescheduling those activities at a later date.
To maintain a prioritized order fulfillment system, our warehouse employees will observe alternating schedules onsite. This will impact McWong product delivery schedules but protect the health of our employees and comply with local guidelines to reduce community spread of the virus.
